The Alcohol of Time

Every battle has its moment.

01 / The game

A moment to plan.
A moment to act.

A three-character party. Active Time Battle. Magic with a visible place on the battlefield.

The Alcohol of Time is an RPG being developed by Studio Magisoft. Its current battle prototype brings together clock-belt magic, elemental techniques, party combinations, and a painted Clockwood setting.

We’re building the details that make a battle easy to read: an approach, a strike, a visible jump home, and the moment a creature falls. You can try an early battle demo here. It is a work-in-progress systems prototype, not the finished story game.

One minute.
A glimpse of the world.

Edited development footage, not an unmodified gameplay capture. It includes staged technique demonstrations, adjusted shot timing, and music and sound mixed in post. The game and its animation work are still in development.

Built around
the next decision.

Features present in the current development build. Artwork, animation, and polish continue to evolve.

01

Time, tactics & teamwork

Active Time Battle gauges, elemental interactions, status effects, equipment, items, and Single, Dual, and Triple Techs give the party different ways to answer a fight.

02

A special gets its moment

Technique-specific artwork slides over a scrolling painted backdrop. The introduction finishes before the action begins, keeping the attack visible.

03

Motion with a clear finish

Drawn idle, own locomotion, attack, and collapse sequences are being added across the roster. Grounded physical approaches return with a visible jump; appropriate floating and flying exceptions keep their own motion.

04

A changing Clockwood

The battle scenery has time-of-day, weather, lighting, and current-pose shadow presentation. The world clock continues while the cosmetic Stage Layout editor is open.

05 / The starting party

Three ways
to meet the moment.

Meet Cael, Katia, and Tessa—the prototype’s default three-member party.

Cael Caskrunner’s approved character sprite, with sword and clock belt.

Temporal duelist

Cael Caskrunner

A sword-wielding lead with storm and time techniques. His physical attack approaches the opponent, then returns with a drawn airborne somersault.

Katia Vintner’s approved archer sprite, with bow and clock belt.

Chronal archer & healer

Katia Vintner

Bow techniques meet restorative support. Frost Arrow, Field Cure, and time-altering support give her different roles in the current battle catalog.

Tessa Copperstill’s approved alchemist-engineer character sprite.

Alchemist-engineer

Tessa Copperstill

Flasks, copper bombs, and ember techniques bring an engineer’s approach to the party. Her current repertoire includes both focused and area attacks.

The roster is coming to life.

99 monster entries are live-verified in the current animation record. Another 75 remain unfinished. Drawn or staged artwork is not counted as a finished, combat-verified kit.

This is an animation milestone, not a claim that the game is complete.
